Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding the instances. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. In addition, she serves as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has reported on events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
